Description: This
folding chair can assume a multitude of positions as pictured. It has a
rocking mechanism base that can be fixed. Made of detail forged iron
and hand painted gold filigree, still visible. Recovered arms with
original horse hair fill. The chairs design is derived from portable
European military metal campaign furniture. A good example of invention
and innovation that marked American industry after the Civil War and
ushered in the Machine Age.
